PIONEER & SOUTHWESTERN BELL
The Pioneer Building was built in 1908 at NW 3rd (now McGee) & Broadway. It is said to be the 1st downtown high-rise and the state's first "fireproof" building. It has been cared for and is still in use.
After acquiring Pioneer Phone, Southwestern Bell added a building adjacent to and North of the Pioneer Building on Broadway in the 1920s. The postcards show both buildings.
