The Alamo. The 2-story Alamo was built in 1901 at 217 W Second (now Kerr). A brief article by Larry Johnson at the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Library System says, "The Alamo Hotel was built in 1901 at 217 West Second Street (now Robert S. Kerr). The lot on which the two story hotel was built was the site of the first St. Paulīs Episcopal Church from 1893-1901 before it moved to Broadway and West Fourth and later to its present home at 127 Northwest Seventh Street. The Alamo, a short walk from the Frisco station, served the city from 1901 to 1935 when it was torn down to become a parking lot and eventually Bank of Oklahoma Plaza." The 1903 photo below is located at the MLS website.
