Board of Education. The Board of Education building was constructed in 1919 on the northeast corner of Walnut and Northeast 3rd, immediately south of Irving School.

When this building ceased functioning as the city school central administration office is unclear from my usual sources. Perhaps that remained so until Roosevelt Junior High at 900 N. Klein ended its operation as a school in 1952 or 1953 and subsequently became the central administration building for city schools, but that's pure speculation on my part until I learn some solid factual information. The former Roosevelt Junior High building was, with certainty, the central administration building by October 1956.

I don't have any historic photographs of the building but it was probably just like the photos that I took in 2009, below.
