Liberty Theater. Originally the Liberty at 19 N. Robinson, it was built in 1915, it eventually became the Harber, and, finally, the Cooper Cinerama in 1960, seating 1,200. It closed in 1975. After the Warner Cinerama closed, the Cooper Cinerama was Oklahoma City's only Cinerama theater until the Continental opened in northwest Oklahoma City on October 21, 1965. For several other photos of the building, click here for my downtown movies article.

The 1st photograph is from my collection and was taken in 1926. Credit the 2nd picture to Steve Lackmeyer & Jack Money, OKC: 2nd Time Around (Full Circle Publishing Co. 2007).
