| Rock Island Passenger Depot. The Rock Island Depot was located immediately north of the Skirvin Hotel, west of Broadway. The photo shown below was taken on November 30, 1930, at the last run of the westbound Rock Island passing through downtown. After that, the depot was destroyed and the east/west downtown tracks were removed. After that, Rock Island passenger business operated from the new Union Station.
